the pixie is in the house :)

today turned out to be many things!
a snowday
a no work day
a no school day
a no volunteer day
a baking day
a "lets set up a playstore in the living room" day

we've had the first winter storm of 2015
several inches of snow followed by single digit temperatures
brrrrrrrrrrr

sounds like a good reason to stay home
so stay home we did & the pixie came by to spend her snowday with us...yeah!!!!!

we baked flourless peanut butter cookies with kisses
it's paula deens recipe....super easy, gluton free & makes less than 2 dozen, so quick i tell ya!

then we set up a playstore for shopping

complete with shopping baskets

a discounted holiday department

and of course a check out girl

it was the best kind of day :)

how do you spend your snow days?

  1. The yuckies have settled in this house. The dogs and I have nestled in with blankets, crochet, and Sprite. The cat is hiding. We are just waiting for hubby. Hugs, Sheri

  3. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...Not sure I can remember back that far. It's been over 30 years since I've had a snow day. Now HURRICANE days .... those I remember. LOL

Glad you had such a good time. I would have bought the Lambchop dolly too. ;-)

  4. Snow days were such a fun childhood memory. We usually spent the day(s) playing in the snow with friends and eating loads of tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches!
The play store is the best. Wish I were there, I would shop the lot from that cute little pixie. :)

  5. What a fabulous way to spend a snow day. Mine are fairly similar when I get to enjoy a day tucked indoors with my little girl - baking seems to make the list, as well as some sort of play activity. I love the shop idea :) Happy New Year!

  6. Sounds like a fun day all around! Where I am there are very little snow days, but when we do get them, trust me, I'm usually sleeping in, cooking something like a comfort food, or spending some time with a craft that I would otherwise not have time for. Last snow (last year) that's when I knitted my second hat and knitted a few of those twirly scarves. Enjoy your snow season. :-)
